PART 2 - 2nd Floor Comfort Issues

Identify issues and explore solutions related to second floor comfort, including control of temperature excursions through zoning, proper register design, constant air circulation, and provision of adequate outside air for indoor air quality purposes. Alternative ventilation system designs and their ability to deliver an acceptable level of fresh air to all zones will also be addressed.
By attending this session, participants will
- Be able to identify concepts and materials used to zone ducted heating and cooling systems
- Identify the use of proper register design to improve second floor comfort
- Understand the capability of alternative ventilation systems to provide fresh air to upper zones of multi-story houses
