Unbalanced pressures in homes can be a significant contributor to indoor air quality problems. Positive pressure can either mitigate or cause problems. All too often HVAC systems are poorly designed and commissioned, increasing the potential for pressure imbalances. Explore remediation strategies including duct sealing, make up air, and interstitial pressure balancing. Get hands-on experience on measuring and mitigating unbalanced pressures.

By attending this session, participants will

Perform the key components of taking residential pressure measurements
Recognize the parameters for both acceptable and unacceptable pressures

Understand the underlying issues for durability and air quality that pressures control, and in some cases, cause or exaggerate
