MPM 04N - Auditing Multifamily Buildings (Part 2 In-field) (MAM 04 is a pre-requisite)

Monday, April 07, 2008  ·  1:30 PM - 5:30 PM

Discover how to apply small home building performance principles into larger residential buildings. Tour an existing multifamily building, and concentrate on the clearly evident and less obvious deficiencies in energy and water efficiency, health and safety, durability, comfort, and affordability. Participants in this session must also attend MAM 04.

By attending this session, participants will

  1. Learn the unique differences of performing energy and water efficiency analysis in multifamily buildings
  2. Understand the relative efficiency of multifamily buildings in comparison to single family homes
  3. Learn the principle areas of inefficiency in multifamily buildings, whether they are centrally or individually heated and cooled, and how to influence the building owner to participate in the process and the financing
