ACI Home Performance Conference 2007
Too Wet
Durable building design and common sense are not mutually exclusive. This session offers a number of case studies illustrating building failures with obvious causes. A discussion of needed repairs demonstrates the point that economics favor doing things right the first time.
By attending this session, participants will
- Gain a greater appreciation for the importance of respecting the laws of physics in choosing building envelope design and component selection
- Recognize the magnitude of money wasted because of foolish building designs
- Learn to be aggressive in demanding durable building design in the planning stages
