HOUS 2 - Enterprise's Affordable Green Communities Initiative

Enterprise Community Partners is halfway through its five-year Green Communities Initiative to change the way affordable housing is sited, designed, and built to produce healthy, resource and energy-efficient housing fostering pedestrian opportunities and efficient transportation choices. We will explain the overall program, explore in detail the Green Communities Criteria, which is the core of the program, and review what has been accomplished so far.
By attending this session, participants will
- Gain an overall understanding of the Enterprise Green Communities Initiative including its grant, loan, and tax credit equity incentives.
- Learn about the Green Communities Criteria and its impact on transportation, energy, water, and medical costs for low income families.
- Hear how Green Communities is impacting public policy and changing how affordable housing is developed.
