WET 3 - Low Cost Moisture Solutions

Given an unlimited budget, any moisture problem can
be solved. This session focuses on ingenuity. Explore the options for relatively low cost fixes to some common water and moisture problems found in existing
homes and what homeowners need to be taught to make the most of them. Case studies from the Healthy Housing + Weatherization pilot in Cleveland will be
shared.
By attending
this session, participants will

Recognize options to address moisture problems that are within their budget
2. Understand how initial low cost steps can help to verify the source of
a moisture problem
3. Be aware of measures that can be taken to reduce moisture
related health hazards, including client education
4. Find out what is
required to help occupants see how their behavior affects the success or failure of these interventions.
