WET 2 - Practical Applications of the Pschrometric Chart

Wednesday, August 16, 2006  ·  8:30 AM - 10:00 AM

You move more air through a basement to dry it out and instead you get water running down the walls. You install a vapor barrier on exterior walls but still have condensation problems within the walls. Water drips from plumbing fixtures and pipes at certain times of the year. Why? Find out how to diagnose and solve these and other moisture-related problems using the psychrometric chart. Learn the definition and application of moisture-related terms such as dew point, relative humidity, vapor pressure, and wet bulb temperature. Examine the relationships among heat, temperature and moisture in air.

By attending this session, participants will

  1. Learn to use a psychrometric chart
  2. Understand the relationships among heat, temperature, and moisture in air
  3. Increase their ability to analyze and solve moisture problems

KEYWORDS: condensation, dew point, moisture, psychrometric chart, relative humidity, vapor pressure
