When done wrong it can cause many problems including poor indoor air quality. Understand basic design and installation principles that will help ensure adequate airflow, proper operational control, and adequate distribution of ventilation air while avoiding pressurization / depressurization problems.

By attending this session, participants will

1. Explore the concept of effective exhaust ventilation

2. Recognize the importance of effective fresh air delivery (there are grades of this)

3. Understand the importance of proper duct installation and what makes ventilation transparent

Key Words: air exchange, design, ducts, emissions, exhaust humidity, IAQ, mold, products, supply, mechanical ventilation, residential, sick homes
