As society faces new challenges, innovative thinking needs to be introduced into the design of homes and communities. Adaptability has emerged as a way forward. The need to rethink economic, societal and environmental aspects in all decisions has become paramount. Those design principles will be articulated and illustrated with examples of dwellings and communities from around the world.
