Woman of the Year Award

ACI Women in Home Performance presents the Woman of the Year Award to celebrate exceptional women making an impact on the home performance industry. This award recognizes women whose passion, leadership, initiative, and determination have inspired others. Nominations for this award have now closed; an anonymous committee of ACI stakeholders will determine the winner, and the winner will be announced at the 2014 ACI National Home Performance Conference & Trade Show in Detroit, MI.

2013 Recipient: Ann Edminster, M. Arch, LEED-AP

Ann Edminster the founder and principal of Design AVEnues, LLC and is a leading green building consultant, teacher, and author. Her recent work and award-winning book, Energy Free: Homes for a Small Planet, focus on net-zero energy homes. Ann has held key roles on numerous high-performance residential projects and chaired the development of LEED for Homes for the U.S. Green Building Council. Her recent project, Building Women's Leadership: Confronting Power and Invisibility, addresses the need for women's leadership in the residential building industry. Ann is pictured at right at the opening plenary of the 2013 National Home Performance Conference in Denver.
